This fun and interactive workshop is aimed at absolute beginners wanting to learn brush lettering .. in this short workshop I'll explain exactly what brush lettering is, and how it differs from other types of calligraphy, and then I'll take you though the various steps needed to write beautifully!

This fun and interactive workshop is aimed at absolute beginners wanting to learn brush lettering .. in this short workshop I'll explain exactly what brush lettering is, and how it differs from other types of calligraphy, and then I'll take you though the various steps needed to write beautifully!
We will cover the following:
- Different types of brush pens
- How to hold your brush pen (right and left handed)
- How to do the basic strokes
- How to build the basic strokes into letters
- The lowercase alphabet
- How to create words
I promise you that this course is for people with NO experience, or who have tried and struggled on their own with using brush pens.
The course includes notes and practice sheets which will be emailed to you once you have booked. You will also receive a supplies list by email.
The course fee does NOT include a kit.. for the workshop you will need to have a brush pen
I would recommend a small nib brush pen (e.g. Tombow Fudenosuke, Pentel Touch, Zebra Funwari, etc) and some lined paper (e.g. school book or examination pad).
